Winter Roads 2022/2023

Winter is upon us. Please slow down and pull over if possible for Snow plows and Snow trucks. I was once coming upon a plow face to face when in my 20's. I tried to pull over, but in the process I slid down into the ditch by pulling over too much. He stopped, hooked me up, pulled me out and I was on my way. I even made it to work on time. I don't think I realized how much went into making our roads safe for us until I began working for the township. Please be patient and know the road crew is doing all they can when the roads are nasty and snow is falling and the wind is blowing. They get up early and work long hours trying to keep your roads open. They also need breaks periodically to refuel physically and literally. We have a great road crew, but please keep them safe so they can keep you safe.
